Good Weather for Beach and Barbecue

Good Weather for Beach and Barbecue

MOBILE, Alabama -

Your beach and barbecue forecast for Labor Day is a good can even have naturally steamed buns!  Humidity stays high. Mostly sunny skies prevail, with a high of 92 and only a 20% chance of a passing thunderstorm.  If that happens, duck inside--it'll move through pretty quickly.  There should be great weather for the Labor Day parade in downtown Mobile.

Rain chances will be even lower at area beaches.  Rip current risk is moderate.

It'll be a sultry night, with a low in the mid 70s and mostly fair skies.
We'll bump up the rain chance to about 30% for Tuesday through Saturday.  Highs stay in the low 90s with lows in the mid 70s.  So, even through Labor Day marks the unofficial end of the summer season, it certainly doesn't mark the end of summer weather.
The tropics are surprisingly quiet for early September--typically an active time in the Atlantic Basin.  Right now, there are now active tropical cyclones!  We're watching an area of clouds and low pressure over the Yucatan Peninsula for development when it emerges in the southern Gulf of Mexico, but it will stay south and not affect your weather.
