Another Cool Night; Another Fair Day.

Another Cool Night; Another Fair Day.

MOBILE, Alabama -

Mobile started at 65 degrees this morning. That’s a record low in what is typically the hottest week of the year. Look forward to more record lows tomorrow morning. Our dew points are in the 50s so once the sun sets, temperatures will ease downward with the coldest spots being found north of Highway 84. There, you will end up in the upper 50s. Most of us in coastal counties will be in the lower or middle 60s. Winds stay light out of the northeast.

Tomorrow, a gradual change begins. We will be sunny in the morning but afternoon clouds get a bit thicker. Highs reach 90 and there is only a tiny chance of a late-day shower.

Friday kicks off a new month and a return to a more typical summer pattern. With higher humidity, expect mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms for Friday through the weekend. Temperatures will be near average and that’s lower 90s in the day and lower 70s at night.

So far, no problems in the Atlantic but a tropical wave in the central Atlantic is approaching the Caribbean. It’s weaker than it was yesterday. Whatever it does, it does not look like an issue for us.
