Nearly the Coolest July Morning on Record

Nearly the Coolest July Morning on Record

MOBILE, Alabama -
The low fell to 63 degrees this morning in Mobile, which is only 1 degree short of the coolest July temperature ever recorded in the city. Pensacola also reached 64 degrees, breaking a record set back in 1936.
The cool weather will soon fade away, thanks to a wind flow that will increase humidity, increase the number of showers we see, and increase the temperature. Expect lows to climb back towards 70 degrees and higher in the coming mornings, and afternoon highs to be in the lower 90s.
A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms is on the agenda for Friday. It's time to get your WKRG radar app ready again.
In the tropics, an area of thunderstorms east of the Lesser Antilles is likely to become a Tropical Depression soon. Most forecasts take it up over Hispaniola and towards the Bahamas. We'll be watching.
