Sunday's Super Bowl XLI match-up between the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears will once again have a strong Senior Bowl flavor, as it will feature 23 players who previously played in the Under Armour Senior Bowl. Also, three of the last four Super Bowl MVP's have been former Senior Bowl players. Last year, wide receiver Hines Ward, who was inducted into the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame last week, won the award in the Steelers' victory in Super Bowl XL. Wide receiver Deion Branch was named the game's MVP following the Patriots' victory in Super Bowl XXXIX, and defensive back Dexter Jackson was the MVP in Tampa Bay's win over Oakland in 2003. This year's group of Senior Bowl-Super Bowlers not only represents quantity, but quality as well, as it includes many of the NFL's biggest stars and top rookie performers in 2006. The NFC Champion Bears currently have 15 former Senior Bowl players on its roster that will take the field on Sunday.
