Xavier Barnes had a game-high 27 points to help McIntosh beat Hazlewood 79-to-67 today in the Class 1-A girls championship game, the Demons' second consecutive state title. Last year's M-V-P, Kimberly Davis had 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Demons (27-and-oh), while Alexis Broussard added 18 points and 22 rebounds. Brittany Simmons snagged 14 rebounds. Jasmine Patton led the Golden Bears (29-and-7) with 20 points. Amber Jones added 15 points and eight boards, while Josalin Johnson had 13 points. Naughtia Langham grabbed 13 rebounds. McIntosh outshot Hazlewood 39-point-five percent to 30-point-two percent and outrebounded the Golden Bears 67-to-54.
