Varez Ward scored 27 points and Jeff Davis shot 62 percent from the floor to beat Austin 84-65 today in a Class 6A boys semifinals game. Jeff Davis (28-5) will seek its second straight state title against LeFlore Saturday at 3 p.m. LeFlore was a 66-to-44 winner over Spain Park. Ward made 11-of-16 shots while Jeff Davis was 33-for-53 as a team. Charvez Davis added 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Courtney Fortson finished with 10 points. Jay Sears led Austin (20-13) with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Verkeneo Mann (14 points) and Jay Watkins (11) also reached double figures. In the second game, Joshua Wesley and Derrick Young had 17 points apiece for LeFlore (31-3). Wesley also had six assists and made three 3-pointers. Young made 7 of 9 shots. LeFlore shot 56 percent from the floor. Jake Drum led Spain Park (28-8) with 10 points.
