Auburn reported three secondary NCAA violations in football in the past year, minor infractions involving recruits on the field before a game, a coach's speech to a high school fundraiser and benefits paid to a suspended player. The university also reported 10 other secondary violations in women's basketball, swimming, gymnastics, track, equestrian and women's tennis. The Press-Register in Mobile, which disclosed the reports to the NCAA in a story today, says the documents were provided after being requested by the newspaper under the state open-records law. The names of players or coaches involved were withheld.
