NAACP Investigating Football Player’s Death

Mississippi Suicide The civil rights organization says George County HS football star Billey Joe Johnson did not commit suicide.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The NAACP is conducting an independent
investigation into the shooting death of a George County High
School football star.
Gulf Coast NAACP President Curley Clark says the civil rights
organization has ruled out suicide as the cause of death for Billey
Joe Johnson. The 17-year-old died December 8 after his vehicle was
stopped by a sheriff's deputy.
The NAACP is conducting interviews, and has scheduled an
independent pathologist to conduct an autopsy.
Sheriff Garry Welford had said it appeared the gunshot was
self-inflicted, but he asked District Attorney Tony Lawrence and
the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation to review the incident.
Lawrence met Monday with Johnson's family. He did not
immediately return a call to The Associated Press seeking comment.

You know it is a very sad situation about Mr.Johnson. I am from Mississippi and I am caucaisan. I thought this type of incident was over in this day in time. From the time I heard about this shooting, I kinda knew in the back of my mind that there was more to it. I am so deeply saddened by this hope to GOD the people responsible are held responsible. I do however reject the statement made by Digthorn about all white people becoming none racist in November. I am an educated blonde hair and blue eyed ‘cracker’ that voted for change. I voted for Barack Obama. So dont point fingers,not all caucaisan people still live in the 60’s. I made an educated and prayed over decision to vote for the right person, because I can.

This never happens in Mississippi. Black man killed by a white cop. That has never happen. I’ve been beaten by 5 cops and the only thing they did to me was laugh and get back in their cars. You know since Obama won all white people stopped being racist in November. What, the gun shot was a small hole behind the left ear. Wait a minute that doesn’t sound like a shot gun blast. What, there was no exit wound, oops. I hope they tested that cops gun, gloves or hands to make sure heeeee didn’t do it. But why would they do that, you know the last job a white supremist would want is to be a cop. So that couldn’t be the connection.
