David Faulkner has been named Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Fairhope High School. The appointment was made at a Wednesday morning meeting of the Baldwin County Board of Education.Faulkner was most recently Foley High School's offensive coordinator, quarterbacks and running backs coach as well as strength coordinator. Prior to Foley, Faulkner was an assistant at Hoover High School in Jefferson County. The Troy graduate also coached at Pratville, Alma Bryant and Clarke County High Schools. “I am excited about being part of the Fairhope community and tradition, and I look forward to working with the young men and women of Fairhope High School,” Faulkner said. Fairhope principal Dr. Beverly Thomas says “we believe Coach Faulkner is the right person to carry on our winning Pirate tradition and to take us to even greater heights,”
Faulkner replaces Mark Lasseter who retired in January after eight years running the Pirate football program;.
