Phil Fulmer addressed the media earlier Thursday evening after being served a subpoena Thursday morning, minutes after arriving at media day.The subpoena was issued by lawyers from former Alabama booster, Wendell Smith... who currently has a lawsuit against the NCAA after being accused of providing illegal benefits to a prep football player in 2004.
In a nutshell... it's been that kind of day in Birmingham for day two of SEC media day.
There were plenty of Alabama fans in the house Wednesday as Nick Saban was in rock star mode for the 2nd straight year.. talking about the upcoming season... with high expectation of a successful year... thanks to the #1 rated incoming recruiting class.
Back to Tennessee... alot of changes for the Vols this season.
A new quarterback and a new offensive coordinator... Coach Fulmer thinks it will be a great 2008 on Rocky Top.
Houston Nutt is dawning a new shade of red this season... Ole Miss red and blue in his 1st year in Oxford.
Nutt's spent the previous 10 season at Arkansas and he's ready to bring new era of winning back to the Rebel program.
Meanwhile... Georgia was on everyone's minds at media day.
The Dawgs are heavy favorites to win the conference and an even bigger favorite to win it all in January.
But with all the praise... Mark Richt wants his team to stay focused... taking it one game at a time.
