John Parker Wilson passed for acareer-high 363 yards and three touchdowns as Alabama rolled to a
41-17 victory over 20th-ranked Tennessee.
DJ Hall had a school-record 13 catches for 185 yards
Alabama, which played without three suspended starters, gets to
6-and-2 with its biggest win in the series since a 56-28 victory in
1986. They are 4-and-1 in the SEC.
The Crimson Tide had lost 10 of their previous 12 meetings with
the Volunteers, who drop to 4-and-3 with the loss. They are 2-and-2
in league competition.
Bama's first-year coach, Nick Saban, set the tone by opening the
game with a successful onside kick that set up the first of four
Leigh Tiffin field goals.
Wilson completed 32-of-46 passes, including touchdowns of 16 and
2 yards to Hall.
Terry Grant carried 26 times for 104 yards and had six catches
for 31 yards and a TD.
