WASHINGTON (AP) - NASA's new boss says he would be "incrediblydisappointed" if people aren't on Mars - or even beyond it - in
his lifetime.
The 62-year-old NASA Administrator Charles Bolden Jr.
told The Associated Press that he foresees NASA sending astronauts
beyond the red planet.
Bolden, a former astronaut, also vowed to extend the life of the international space station beyond 2016, the year the Bush administration planned to abandon it.(Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
