SPICY ORIENTAL CHICKEN TACOS:
For morning show July 11th 2008
1 box of 12 taco shells on sale and with a coupon $ .89
3 chicken quarters @4.99 for 12—41 cents each 1.23
½ t. ground ginger .05
1 garlic clove, minced .10
2 T. soy sauce .15
1 T. honey .25
3 green onions @ .99 for12 .24
½ t. red pepper flakes .05
2 cups shredded lettuce @ .79 a head .40
Total for 12. $3.36
Heat the taco shells in the oven. Heat a skilled over medium high heat and spray with Pam, add the cooked chicken, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, honey, onions and pepper flakes.
Heat until all ingredients and hot and well mixed. Spoon into warm taco shells and top with lettuce. You may use additional soy on top of the lettuce. You may also top with a bland cheese like Mozzarella and then sprinkle on soy sauce.
