8 slices bread
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
Malibu Coconut Rum to taste
Sliced turkey
Sliced ham
8 slices Swiss or provolone cheese
8 slices American cheese
Prepared mustard (optional)
Oil for frying
Toothpicks
Powdered Sugar and Strawberry preserves for serving
Beat eggs, milk, and Malibu Coconut Rum together; dip bread slices in mixture. Let soak well; drain. Arrange American cheese and thin slices of turkey on 4 bread slices. Cover with ham; top with slice of swiss or provolone cheese. Spread lightly with mustard, if desired; Top each with another slice of bread. Slice sandwiches in diagonally into quarters. Spear each quarter with a toothpick. Dip each sandwich quarter in egg mixture. Fry in hot oil. Serve sandwiches sprinkled with powdered sugar, and strawberry preserves.
