Homemade Vanilla

½ pint Vodka
4 whole Vanilla Beans
Decorative Bottle that seals tight

Using a very sharp knife, make a slit lengthwise down the middle of each bean. Put beans in the bottle and if necessary, cut the bean in pieces to fit into the bottle. Add the vodka and make sure all the beans are covered. Shake well. Place in dark, cool place for 30 days, shaking once a day. After using ½ - ¾ of the bottle, refill with vodka, return to the shelf and repeat the process for about 10 days. This vanilla should last indefinitely.
