Creamy Crabmeat Pontchartrain Sauce Recipe

1/4 lb. butter
2 cups mushrooms
1/2 cup green onions
2 tbsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp crab base
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup cheese
1 cup white wine
1/2 cup pimentos
1 qt. heavy cream
1 lb. Crabmeat

Saute 1/4 lb. butter with mushrooms, green onions, minced garlic, and crab base until soft. Stir in flour to form Roux. Add heavy cream and white wine. Stir for 5 minutes until it tightens. Now, stir in cheese, pimentos, and crabmeat. Enjoy!!!
(This sauce is good over fish or pasta.)
