Candied Yams

8 med. sweet potatoes
Water
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
4 T. butter
Cinnamon
Peel and cut sweet potatoes in half lengthwise. Place in pot. Add water to cover.
Bring to a boil and add sugars, butter and cinnamon. Boil on medium-high heat until tender.
Do not stir, syrup will thicken.
Note: Use can use half white sweet potatoes and half orange.
