Amish Meatballs
2 lbs. Ground Beef
1 package Onion Soup Mix
1 cup cubed bread
3 eggs
1 Bottle Chili Sauce
1 Bottle water using the Chili sauce bottle
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup Sauerkraut, drained
1 can whole Cranberry Sauce
Mix first 4 ingredients and make meatballs. Then mix the next 5 ingredients together. Simmer those ingredients until sauce thickens a bit. Pour over meatballs and bake covered for 2 hours at 350.
We serve this on white rice. We have tried it served over mashed potatoes or cooked noodles also.
It is one of the best tasting dishes we make.
Enjoy!
