Wildwood, Florida - Authorities say they have located a 9-year-old girl who was the subject of a missing child alert early Monday morning.

According to a news release from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee, the missing child case involving Nakhya Butler has been resolved. The alert was canceled Monday, about five hours after it was issued.

Wildwood police say Butler's father brought the girl into the Kissimmee police department Monday morning.

Butler was last spotted in Wildwood before she was reported missing.
