Jacksonville, Florida - A Jacksonville baby is in critical condition after being burned in a space heater fire.
A space heater in the home of George Willis burst into a ball of fire Wednesday morning. He says kerosene ignited a stroller holding 5-month-old Jaxson Spencer Wills. The child suffered burns to his arms, legs and face. The baby was listed in critical condition Thursday evening.
Five other children were home at the time but not injured.
Jacksonville fire officials say Willis saved the family by throwing the burning stroller and heater outside. He grabbed the baby and rolled him on the carpet to smother the flames. Wills was treated for burns on his hands and face.
