MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - AAA Alabama reports gas prices aresliding.
Regular unleaded is a penny lower from Sunday. The statewide
average is $3.59 a gallon.
The national average for regular is $3.65.
Midgrade fuel averaged $3.76 while premium costs $3.86 a gallon.
Diesel prices fell 2 cents overnight to $4.11.
Tuscaloosa has the cheapest metro average for regular at $3.56.
Mobile has the most expensive at $3.66 a gallon.
AAA is now watching Hurricane Ike, as well as Tuesday's OPEC
meeting, to see where prices may go in the weeks ahead.
