It's been a week of apologies.
It's seems like everyone has been issuing out "I"m sorry" for bad behavior displayed for the world to see.
Last Wednesday, South Carolina Congreseman Joe Wilson apologized to President Barack Obama for calling him a liar while the President addressed Congress and the nation on health care.
The public outburst caused lawmakers to pass a resolution admonishing Wilson for violating House decorum and civility.
But that's not all!
Tennis superstar Serena Williams went on a public tirade toward a U.S. Open referee after the referee called a line fault on her.
Williams was seen giving a profanity laced rant and so-called threat of her taking a tennis ball and shoving it down the referee's throat.
Williams issued an apology in a statement on Monday.
It doesn't stop there, either!
Sunday during the MTV Video Music Awards, rapper Kanye West jumped on stage during country singer Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, grabbed her microphone, and told her, the crowd, and the nation that Beyonce deserved the award for Best Female Video, not Swift.
His repeated outbursts and rude behavior caused national outrage.
West has apologized three times: twice on his blog and directly to Swift during a phone call Tuesday.

Have we lost respect for each other?

Web Wednesday:

Where is the respect? What Happened to it and how do we get it back? Do we live in a society where we just don't care anymore?

It seems like everyone thinks they have to be rude to get what they want.

Was no one watching the news before January 20, 2009?  Never have I seen such a complete lack of respect for a president as I did with Bush.  Was that some how okay?  Or does it all just depend upon which side the antics are coming from?

I work all over the country and I get to see first hand how different people are from region to region. It is so sad that a once great country has become so devided. No prayer in schools, ( or not on planet earth if the ACLU keeps getting there way ). All the TV shows with disrespectful kids, No more good old fassion butt spankings. What is the message to our kids these days? Time out?? Boy, that really hurts them huh? Accountability for their actions? It seems to me that disrespect is all that is left and more than I care to admit is considered a “norm” these days. So as far as the question at hand, has people lost respect? Absolutly! These are sad days my friends when our Nations leaders and suppossed to be “roll models” set these examples on national television.

In my opinion people have lost self respect.  If you have no self respect then you certainly have no respect for others. Self respect has to be taught as a child which is the parents responsibility which is where lack of responsiblility is showing up daily.  It has nothing to do with wealth or fame our children are what we have shown by example in most cases.  Parents have got to take responsibility and put our families and teaching first. Lead by example!

I am afraid it is going to take a worldwide catastrophic event to turn society around.  Somehow we must get God back into our lives.  We still (so far) live in one nation UNDER GOD.  Too many people have turned away from God.  Too much drugs; too much sex outside of marriage - no respect for anything or anybody.  What is next?  God help us all!

Have we lost our respect for each other? This shouldn’t even be a matter of a question but yet a Fact. Majority on here may feel they respect others, but society as a whole has gone down the drain. We are not going down the drain, we are already there.

How do we get it back, quite honestly its not coming back. The world has pushed down everything good and has upheld all that is evil, this is not my opinion but fact.

Yes, we are in a society that no longer cares about itself or man kind.
