The first family has settled on a first pet - a 6-month-old Portuguese water dog that the Obama girls are naming Bo. The selection was one of the White House's most tightly kept secrets.

President Barack Obama's daughters, 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha, picked the black and white pup. The dog is a gift from Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., who owns several Portuguese water dogs himself.

Free Housing,Free Medical Care,more welfare money,
if he is a illegal,Amnesty,never mind our laws.And coming from Kennedy,the dog is probably a Lush,so he will get free scotch.

Isn’t it an ethical violation to accept gifts from government officials? I would think that accepting a “gift” for your kids, could be seen as an invitation to show favoritism on this particular Senators earmarks, etc. Of course, he could have bought it with his pork, anyway.
