Good morning BamaBob! been a few days since I heard from you.Yep! I’ll do what ever is necessary once they start trodding on the home front and then it’s a no holds are barred for me. I try to be friendly and helpful to most everyone but if it comes down to dog eat dog,I try not to be found wanting.I wouldn’t have hesitated about putting a load of rock salt on these punks on the first go around.Sorry to hear about your heart problems,anything I can do to help give me a holler on the other board.that way you can send personal messages no one else can read. I had my own meeting with the GRIM REAPER a few years back but thewife nursed me back to the living along with a bunch of good doctors and nurses.That’s why my favorite saying is “EVERY DAY’S A HOLIDAY AND EVERY MEAL’S A FEAST”! and I shore do love to feast.

Maybe 10-15 years ago I would have been stupid enough to go out and confront the punks and knock some heads together.  Now, the years, heart disease and a little wisdom would prevent me from having physical contact with the goons.  So, I would protect my property the best way I could.

I think it’d be a different story here since passage of the new laws governing trespassing and the right to use deadly force when threatened on your own property. I didn’t like the idea of putting up NO TRESPASSING signs on a couple of trees out front but I figured it might be prudent to do so in case I was in a similar situation. I think the man ought to get a pat on the back and the trespassers get charged for trespassing and assault. Your home is your last line of defense against the world and the crazies out there,do what ever is necessary to defend it.

I agree!  What is a person supposed to do, just take it?  What if it wasn’t a sign?  What if it was something of value on the guy’s property?  Is he supposed to just sit there and watch thugs walk off with his possessions?

So, let me get this straight: A man WORKS for years and provides himself with a home. Police fail to help him defend it from two bums who SHOULD BE OUT WORKING SOMEWHERE, and then when the homeowner himself tries to WARN the bums, he gets charged with a crime???? 

What is someone supposed to do? Keep taking abuse? Where are his rights? He tried to get the police involved, unsuccessfully. And, he fired WARNING shots. Some might say he showed restraint.

I’m so sick of these signs anyway!  I hope they enforce the law and get these signs down asap after the election is over.  Makes the city look trashy.
