South Carolina Resign Gov. Mark Sanford met the woman 8 years ago in Argentina. "I hurt you all I hurt my wife. I hurt my boys. I hurt a lot of people. All I can say is I apologize."

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford says he's
been having an affair with a woman from Argentina and will resign
as head of the Republican Governors' Association.
The married father of four emotionally apologized to his wife,
staff and others at a news conference after returning Wednesday
from a trip to Argentina that followed a dayslong absence. His
staff had said the Republican was hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
Sanford says he met the woman about eight years ago and it
became romantic about a year ago. He says his wife and family have
known about it for the past five months.
Sanford says, "I've let down a lot of people."

Cheating has nothing to do with a spouse and everything to do with the fact that people in power need more power. They are constantly faced with temptations of people who WORSHIP them.

Through the years, I’ve come to believe it’s none of our business. Republican or Democrat, they all fall. The stats are too telling with normal folks. Let he and his wife work it out. It’s their problem not ours.
