MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman willspeak to a breakfast event for the Colorado delegation during the
Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Siegelman confirmed in an e-mail to The Associated Press that he
had been invited to give a speech to the Colorado delegation.
Siegelman is free on an appeal bond while his conviction in a
federal government corruption case is being appealed.
Democratic Party executive director Jim Spearman said other
states are also interested in Siegelman speaking to them about his
case and allegations that his prosecution was politically
motivated.
