MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Secretary of State is predictinga record number of voters will turn out in Alabama for the Nov. 4
general election.
Chapman says she is basing the prediction on the large number of
voter registration applications being received daily at the
Secretary of State's office and by registrar's in Alabama's 67
counties.
Chapman says her office is receiving about 200 to 300 voter
registration applications a day. She says that number far surpasses
what has been seen prior to past elections.
