Steady traffic at the republican headquarters in Gulf Breeze could only mean one thing, tickets to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin visit next week in Pensacola."It was very busy this morning. There was a line down the sidewalk and people in the parking lot at five o'clock this morning," says volunteer Ellen Sims.
Palin in Pensacola is the hottest ticket in town but for some, like first time voter Nathalie Walgis, the visit is not about catching a glimpse of the candidate, it's about making a decision. "I've never been to anything like this . This is actually my first year to vote so it is kind of exciting since it is so diverse and a new thing. Got a woman and got a black guy, it's going to be cool."
While some, like veteran Wayne Todd, are already sold on the Alaskan governor, "I think she has a lot to say and so far what we've heard from her she sounds very much like normal people and not a politician."
Others still haven't made up their mind. "I'm slanting toward this way, I just want to make sure. I'm not 100 percent positive," says Nancy Palmer.
They hope seeing Palin in person will help them decide. Palin is expected to arrive at Pensacola Aviation Center between one and two o'clock Tuesday. Gates will open at eleven o'clock.
