Jim Pacillo, a recently laid-off bank worker, warmed up the crowd for Biden, at a rally Wednesday in Tampa. But as he finished his introduction, he had an "oops" moment.
"We have a simple pretty choice in this election. Do you want four more years of failed Bush economic policies? (Crowd: No!) Are you ready for the change that we all need? (Crowd: Yes!) Than no matter what your party, gender, or race or religion, please help me today in welcoming the next vice president of the United States, John McCain!"
But the crowd of 3,500 didn't seem to notice. They cheered as if Pacillo had said Biden's name and roared as the usual Biden walk-up music played on cue.
Biden didn't draw any attention to the blunder.
"Let me thank Jim for that nice introduction," Biden said.
