Southfan, I don’t see anything “funny” about it. I don’t know who you think you are, but our veterans are no laughing matter. The only thing funny here is you & your pathetic little ploy to garner atteniton for yourself. What a sad little life you lead.

Had you read my previous post, you would see that I was talking about capitol punishment & Sarah Palan’s support of it. The rest was MY opinion on how I would like to see the billions in tax dollars currently spent on those awaiting the death penalty re-apportioned to benefit education & the veterans.

I am the granddaughter of a WWII Navy veteran, the daughter of a career Coastie & the wife of a Marine. I can tell you that the state of our military & their benefits remain in a shambles after the Clinton administration; all the more reason to keep the Democrats OUT of the White House.

The AFL-CIO is attacking McCain with a TV spot saying he voted “against increasing health care benefits for veterans.” Actually, he voted for increases in those benefits.

Mermaid, It’s funny you should bring up Veteran’s and their benefits. Just what is McCain’s voting record on those issues?

RM, I am not twisting. I asked you to define your terms. You explained your understanding of the chemical actions of birth control. How it 1. Prevents ovulaton, usually. 2. Makes the uterus less hospitable to sperm and 3. prevents implantation and can cause the fertilized egg to be flushed out. That’s pretty simple. Most people do not want to face it. Then you explained that you thought that abortion with a D&C;is where your line is. You have a line. However, your line is not the same line as other people have. You have no right to tell others what their line should be. I have no right. NO POLITICIAN has that right, either. In the meantime, I will point out the reality.

How about we debate Palin’s stance on capitol punishment? 

As I stated previously, the only problem I see is that it isn’t used often enough.  An eye for an eye…so says the Bible. It is ridiculous the luxeries, rights & considerations that are shown to those who break our laws. I am tired of the criminals being given more rights then the vicitms. I’m tired of rapists & murderers being coddled while our veterans are doing without.

With all the technology & scientific break-throughs, there should be a 3 year limit on appeals. After 3 years…GOODBYE!!  Forget the electric chair; we should go back to public hangings. Talk about a crime deterent…  Our tax dollars wouldn’t be spent feeding, housing & paying public defenders for these losers. Plus the rope could be re-used, saving even more taxpayer dollars. All that money could then be spent on schools & taking care of our veterans & their families.

Twist my words however you want to justify your point, but there is absolutely NO relevant correlation between being on birth control to PREVENT pregnancy and arranging for the suctioning and scraping out of an established pregnancy.

the heartbeat thing is just spin put out to hurt john mccain. no one knows what tomorrow brings. we are all just one heart beat away. palin would make a beautiful president. her family is awsome. i loved margaret thatcher. she was one of the few who stood up for america during the iran hostage ordeal. i believe palin could be another iron lady.
