Manzie and his supporters watched the election returns Tuesday night with smiling faces.
Manzie said his priorities are bringing honesty, accessibility and accountability to the school board.
He said, "We're not getting on to try to be dogmatic or to try to be confrontational, but to try to create more harmony, because that's what this community needs to see in order to erase the bad and negative stigma that's attached to the school board presently."
Belle tried to get Manzie removed from the ballot for not submitting paperwork on time, but the Alabama Supreme Court ruled in favor of Manzie.
What did Manzie learn from the legal battle?
He said, "I think if anything, it made me a better person as a private citizen and I think it will prepare me to be an even better public official."
Fleet Belle did not return News Five's calls asking for an interview.
Belle was appointed to the school board in 2006 to replace David Thomas.

I just hope he has taken accounting. Maybe he can give some after school help to the other board members so they too can learn what a budget is and how it works.
I am very glad to see Bell leave.
