Lawmaker Wants To Tax Patrons Of Strip Clubs

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - You might call it a "pole tax."
The New York legislator who brought the nation its first law
against driving while using a cell phone is proposing a $10 tax for
patrons of nude and seminude dance clubs and strip bars.
Assemblyman Felix Ortiz, a Bronx Democrat, says the revenue
would go toward helping victims of human trafficking at a time when
government budgets are being slashed.
The bill doesn't have a Senate sponsor yet.
In Texas, state lawyers are fighting to preserve their $5 "pole
tax," a cover charge on strip clubs, is being challenged by
business owners.
The Texas Legislature approved the fee in 2007, hoping to spend
the money on sexual assault and health insurance programs, but a
judge declared it unconstitutional. The state is appealing.

What’s one more tax. We are taxed to death. I like the idea KxVicious of taxing the politicians and double the tax if they lie. No triple the tax.

I think there should be a politican tax:
If you are in a public office, you should pay an extra $1,000 in taxes…
A revenue of $170,000 would be collected just from the legislature.

wait4me, they just reported about the carbon cap the obamanation passed. the north east has been giving out the limits on cabon output for free. now that the cap is in place, they are selling them. eletric rates are due to go up with in weeks. the day of wrecking is here, thank you big brother obama. i wonder how many he will kill this summer from heat stroke.

It wont they will tax EVERYTHING they deem inappropriate or not for the good of the Socialist State. Cigarettes, alcohol, strip clubs, travel tax, and higher income taxes. All so they can spend it on their pork projects or give it to social programs for the non-working (not unemployed just lazy) or baby factories.
