TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The U.S. Army is investigating the death
of a 22-year-old soldier from Alabama who was shot during a
"non-combat-related incident" in Afghanistan.
Army Spc. Seteria L. Harris Brown died from a gunshot wound to
the chest on July 25 while serving in Sharana, Afghanistan.
Her mother, Michelle Harris of Aliceville, said what happened
isn't clear and she's been given few details by the Army, which is
still investigating the death.
Brown's younger brother, Keiwan Harris, said his sister was a
few months into her second overseas deployment.
Brown joined the Army shortly after graduating from Aliceville
High School in 2004 and her mother said she recently re-enlisted
after her initial four-year contract expired.
She had been stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, before deployment.
