NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The New Orleans Saints have released runningback Deuce McAllister.
Team officials said Tuesday they have granted McAllister his
release so he could seek offers from other teams.
McAllister has had reconstructive surgery on both knees and was
due over $7 million next season from the Saints. The team is trying
to player payroll in an effort to remain under the salary cap as
free agency approaches.
He played a limited role in the Saints' offense this past season
with 107 carries for 418 yards.
