Alabama Democrats, led by Senator Vivian Davis Figures of Mobile, are backing a bill that would ban smoking in all public places.
This includes restaurants, malls, theatres, and within 15 feet of any place where smoking is prohibited. Figures says it's clear Alabamians want a smoke-free state.
