US Senate Renews Nat’l Flood Insurance Program

In a 92-6 vote, the US Senate passed a renewal of the National Flood Insurance Program until 2013. The Senate bill will also create a commission to study how available and affordable catastrophic insurance is in places prone to hurricanes and earthquakes.
