Motorcyclist ATVs Causing Chaos on Streets for MLK Day

MIAMI (CNN) -

Protests against gun violence turned dangerous in South Florida. Riders have been taking to the streets in illegal demonstrations on motorcycles and off-road dirt bikes and ATVs that are not street legal.

Motorcyclists and ATV riders began hitting the streets of South Florida this weekend for anti-gun violence protest called "wheels up, guns down." They performed wheelies and other dangerous stunts on busy roads, causing numerous accidents. One incident saw an ATV collide with a police cruiser. Several people were arrested.

Authorities also towed dozens of unregistered vehicles and gave out at least 29 tickets since Saturday. The protests continued with wild riding and police chasing the bikers on Monday.
