Police search for duo who robbed Milton woman

MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) - - A woman was beaten and robbed while walking home in her Northwest Florida neighborhood, according to police.

Just after midnight Friday, a woman was walking near Northside Circle and Alabama Street when a man and woman approached her not far from the Milton Police Department.

"I was here at the time," Wayne Swager said. "I didn't hear anything happen. I woke up about 12 or 12:30 and saw flashing lights through the windows."

Swager said it all happened in front of his house. The victim was beaten and robbed as she walked home from a gas station a few blocks away.

The female suspect is described as black, thin build, long legs and wearing gray shorts. There is no description of the black man with her.

"Now that I hear it was a robbery and beating, that kinda worries me a little bit with it being so close to my house," Swager said.

He wishes he could've helped and says it wouldn't have ended well for the suspects.

"They don't want to come visit my house," he said.

They were last seen in a dark covered vehicle headed west on Munson Highway toward Stewart Street.

If you know anything or saw something, you can remain anonymous calling 850-437-STOP and that could get you up to a $3,000 reward.
