PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) - David Mixon Jr. was found dead in a creek in Cantonment by a group of teenagers just last month. His mother Carolyn Williams wants the public to know her son was a good person.
"David was not just a body found in a creek," Williams said. "He was a beautiful soul and he was scared and he was terrified and he was lost."
Williams now has pictures of her son scattered around her home. She says this Mother's Day was one of the worst days ever, and she's still in shock.
"He loved children," Williams said. "He loved his son. Everyone he was with he was a father to their children."
Williams says she does not know exactly how her son died, but she just wants to give him a proper burial.
"We still need about three thousand dollars to pay the funeral home for what they've done and to give him a proper burial as God's child," Williams said.
