Mobile Police Make Arrest in Pathways Homicide

UPDATE (2:40 p.m.) - Mobile Police identified the victim in Thursday night's homicide as 33-year-old DeCarlos Johnson. He is the brother of Dominique Johnson who arrested early Friday morning for the murder.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found Johnson in the doorway of an apartment on Florida Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives advise the motive behind the shooting may have stemmed from an argument between the two brothers.

UPDATE (5:30a.m. 12/16/2016): 

A suspect has been arrested in the homicide investigation at the Pathways Apartments on South Florida Street in midtown Mobile. 22-year-old Dominique Marcel Johnson was booked into Mobile Metro Jail just after 2:00 this morning. He's charged with murder.

According to a Police Department spokesperson, officers originally responded to a disorderly call at the Pathways apartments around 8:30 Thursday night.

As they were en route to the scene, they then received another call that someone had been shot.

Once on the scene, they found the body of a man.
