MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) - Mobile Police have arrested a man who shot at a vehicle with three people inside, including a 4-month-old child. A man inside the car was wounded.
Police identified the shooter as 23-year-old Patrick Johnson.
According to Mobile Police, officers responded to Mobile Infirmary Tuesday night where the victim had arrived with two gunshot wounds in his upper back and buttocks.
The man was listed in critical condition due to being shot in his lung, police said.
According to police, the victim's friend says that he, the victim and the 4-month-old child were driving on Holcombe Avenue approaching Fairway Drive when another a gold Honda Accord began to drive recklessly in front of them.
Police said the victim pulled next to the gold car and exchanged words. That's when the rear passenger in the gold car fired five shots, hitting the victim and his vehicle, police said.
Mobile Police say officers located Johnson and arrested him. A search at Metro Jail uncovered two bags of marijuana and some crack cocaine on Johnson, according to MPD.
