MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) - It's a heartbreaking update to a story we've been following here at News 5. 3-year-old William Marion died Monday night at USA Children's and Women's Hospital. He was battling a rare form of cancer: Rhabdomyosarcoma and Neurofibromatosis.
His parents posted the update on their William the Warrior Facebook page.
William's parents were told two weeks ago there was nothing left to do for William and they would have to move him to home hospice care. On Thursday, William was greeted by Mobile Fire-Rescue firefighters when he was discharged from the hospital. Firefighters teamed up with Make-A-Wish to give William a special day as a firefighter.
On Sunday night William had to be readmitted to USA Children's and Women's Hospital after complications.
