Two Crestview Men Charged in Alleged Sex Trafficking Operation

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WKRG) — Two men from Okaloosa County are facing charges after investigators say they forced young women into prostitution.

Anthony Miles, 22, and De'Jion Kimbrough, 25, are both charged with use of coercion for commercial sexual activity of a child under the age of 18 and use of coercion for commercial sexual activity of an adult.

Kimbrough is also charged with unlawful sexual activity with minors.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, the suspects would prostitute juvenile females at a Destin motel. The men would also take the women to other cities such as Orlando and Tallahassee, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office says the investigation began in 2016 after a juvenile probation officer reported that she suspected young women were being trafficked on Backpage.com, a classified advertisements site.

Investigators reached out to alleged victims, who said the men "used threats, battery, imprisonment, and drugs to make them comply."

As part of the investigation, the sheriff's office says it searched a storage facility rented by Miles in Crestview and found the driver's license of one of the alleged victims. That person told investigators the license was taken from her as a form of punishment.

Both Miles and Kimbrough are being held without bond in the Okaloosa County Jail.
