Marlon Humphrey arrested in Tuscaloosa County on robbery charge


Marlon Humphrey was originally charged with harassment and forth-degree theft of property for taking a $15 phone charger from a hotel on January 13th, according to the incident report. Both charges were misdemeanors. 

According to the University of Alabama Police Department, once the Tuscaloosa County Magistrate read the report, they decided to upgrade the charge to third-degree robbery, which is a felony.

Baltimore Ravens' DB and former Alabama Crimson Tide DB Marlon Humphrey has been arrested in Tuscaloosa County on a robbery charge, jail records show.

Humphrey was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a robbery in the third degree charge on Jan. 25, 2018. His bond is set at $2,500.

Humphrey was taken 16th overall in the 2017 NFL draft by the Ravens. He had 34 tackles and two interceptions in his rookie season. 

He's a Hoover High School graduate who won 3 SEC Championships and 1 National Championship with Alabama, and a 2016 First team All-American. His father is Bobby Humphrey, former Crimson Tide running back and first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 1989.

From a good source with knowledge of the situation, they are saying that Marlon accidentally took a phone charger from an Uber driver’s car when he got out and now driver has filed charges. May be more info coming but this is what we are hearing right now.
