Home In Jackson Alabama Destroyed By Fire

Jackson, AL (WKRG) - One home is destroyed and no injuries are reported after a Friday night fire in Jackson Alabama.  Jackson Police Chief Jerry Taylor says the people living in the home were out at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.  

The Kimbrough street home is described as a total loss.  The home is near the Scotch & Gulf Lumber facility.  At least one person in the area messaged News 5 about a large first responder presence in that area Friday night.  The fire was called in at about 8:50 pm.  The cause is under investigation and could be related to the cold weather.
