UPDATE: Manhunt Ends in Okaloosa County, Suspect in Custody

UPDATE (8:00 p.m.) - -Lt. Eddie Elmore with the Florida Highway Patrol says a suspect is in custody.


OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) -- Multiple agencies are searching for a person in Okaloosa County following a traffic stop.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fish and Wildlife officials, and Eglin Air Force Base officials are on the scene searching for a person possibly armed, authorities say.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, General Bond Blvd. from Highway 85 and Highway 189 is currently closed as the search continues.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area.
