Rick Crawford, NASCAR driver from Mobile, arrested in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. (WKRG) - Mobile native and former NASCAR driver Rick Crawford was arrested in Seminole County, Florida.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Crawford was arrested for allegedly enticing a minor for sex. He was arrested Thursday in Lake Mary and is being held on no bond in the Seminole County Jail, the Orlando Sentinel reports. 

Court records, obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, state since Feb. 10th Crawford was allegedly communicating with an undercover deputy attempting to meet a young girl for sex. The deputy and Crawford negotiated to meet in a parking lot on Lake Mary Boulevard and would pay $50 and $75. He was taken into custody after arriving at the parking lot. 

Crawford raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for over a decade and won five total races in his NASCAR career. 

In 2012, he became the manager/promoter of the Mobile International Speedway. Crawford held the position for a year.
