Police: trio growing pot in Bay Minette back yard

BAY MINETTE, Ala (WKRG) - PRESS RELEASE FROM POLICE:

On April 28, 2018 Bay Minette Patrol Police Officers responded to 104 Neighbors Lane Bay Minette, Al 36507 in reference to a complaint of drug activity. Upon the officer’s arrival, they came in contact with Kinnion Pacen-Lane Jackson, Shannon Doven Bryars, and Jonathan Herbert Brown in the backyard of the residence. Officers observed in plain sight juvenile marijuana plants growing in the backyard, narcotics and drug paraphernalia items in and around a shed in the backyard.

During the investigation officers discovered over 30 juvenile marijuana plants growing in the backyard, approximately 15 grams of methamphetamine ice, an amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia items to indicate the residence was used to distribute narcotics.

Kinnion Pacen-Lane Jackson was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jackson has since been released from jail on bond.

Shannon Doven Bryars was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bryars is currently in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Correction on a $23,500 bond.

Jonathan Herbert Brown was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brown is currently in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Correction on a $21,500 bond.
