Gulf Shores seniors taking special gift to Washington D.C.

Gulf Shores, AL - A group of Gulf Shores High School seniors will head to Washington D.C. this weekend carrying a unique gift for First Lady Melania Trump.

Art teacher Austin Boyd has created another portrait similar to a previous one he painted of President Trump.

The "spontaneous realism" project was finished this week and will be presented to Mrs. Trump during a private tour of the White House.

During the four day trip, nine seniors from Gulf Shores High School will also attend a nationwide conference targeting underage drinking and substance abuse and sit in on a session of Congress.
