Family Searches for Missing Dogs Following Deadly I-65 Wreck in Baldwin County

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) - A family is continuing to search for two missing dogs following a deadly wreck on I-65 Tuesday in North Baldwin County.

The two dogs were in the vehicle when the wreck happened and haven't been seen since.

The family is asking the public to be on the lookout for a Chihuahua and Shih Tzu who were last seen around the Perdido Exit, mile marker 46.

According to Alabama State Troopers, Marie Caitlin Olsen, 26, was ejected from a Toyota Tundra on Tuesday, January 9, after it struck a guardrail on Interstate 65. Troopers say the driver, Sven Michael Olsen, was headed north on I-65 when the vehicle left the roadway Tuesday afternoon and struck the guardrail near the 46-mile marker. Both Olsens are said to be from Marietta, Georgia. Caitlin Olsen was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
